- This article is about the tool. For the drink, see Screwdriver Cocktail.
Screwdrivers are a recurring item in the Cube Escape series, appearing in five games.
Cube Escape: SeasonsEdit
A screwdriver appears in the Summer, in the bottom of the chest of drawers. If the player has the plug, it can be used to connect it to the bare wire of a black-light, in order to find a hidden photo piece. It is also used to lever open the oven, in order to cook the Shrimp. A screwdriver is needed as the door to the oven is broken, causing it to jam when closed; a screwdriver must be used for every time the oven is opened.
Cube Escape: Case 23Edit
Cube Escape: BirthdayEdit
In the bottom drawer of the chest under the gramophone there is a screwdriver. Its only definite use is to unscrew two screws in order for Dale to obtain a wire for his birthday present. It can also be used to pop the bubble of gum being blown by Mrs. Vandermeer, though the player can also do this with the knife.
Cube Escape: TheatreEdit
Like in Cube Escape: Seasons, a screwdriver is needed to attach a plug to the Theatre's spotlight, in order for the play to begin. To get the screwdriver, the player must mix a Screwdriver Cocktail and hand it to the depressed barfly, Bob. He will then open his mouth and dispense a real screwdriver, which the player can take.
Cube Escape: ParadoxEdit
A screwdriver is found in one of the drawers in the Paradox Room. It is used on the light switch to unscrew and take off the switch plate. After reconnecting the wiring, the switch plate is screwed back on. The lights can then be turned on, revealing a paper piece inside one of them.
