Rusty Lake Paradise is the twelfth game by Rusty Lake and the third premium game. It is set in the same Rusty Lake location as the Cube Escape games, but is not considered part of the series, instead being a stand-alone game with some connections.

The game takes place in 1796 on an isolated island in Rusty Lake. The story is based around 10 plagues, thought to be a variation of the ten plagues of Egypt, which curses the island and its inhabitants after the main character's mother mysteriously dies. The player must interact with their family members around the island and partake in many ominous rituals in order to stop the plagues.

The First Plague: Water turns into Blood[]

Fishing Rod
  • Focus on the boat to the right.
  • Take the machete and hook.
  • Focus on the small box. Drag open the two latches and take the line.
  • Click on the envelope to read the letter.
  • Defocus out, then focus on the fruit laying on the ground.
  • Use the machete to slice the fruit until a worm comes out. Pick up the worm.
  • Defocus, then focus on the bamboo.
  • Use the machete on the bamboo to the right until you receive a stick.
  • Defocus.
David
  • Focus on David to the left.
  • Click on him; he wants a fishing pole.
  • Give him the stick, line, and hook. Put the worm on the hook.
  • Click him until he fishes out a shrimp. Take the shrimp.
  • Defocus, then refocus, and talk to him:
    It's been a while brother.
  • Defocus.
Entrance
  • Focus on the entrance. Open the two hatches.
  • Click on the left opening to see Gerard. He wants a shrimp.
  • Put the shrimp into his hand in the right opening, and he will open the gate.
  • Go forward twice.
First Leech
  • Focus on Margaret. Click on her nose until the leech wriggles completely out.
  • Take the leech from her hand.
  • Talk to her:
    Good to see you Grandson. I am sorry about your mother.
  • Defocus.
  • Go right, forward to the water pump, left, forward to the house.
  • Enter the house.
Second and Third Leeches
  • Focus on Nicholas.
  • Talk to him:
    My dear Son. Please, I'm thirsty.
  • Defocus, and focus on the plate.
  • Remove the head from the shrimp, and take the leech.
  • Defocus, and focus on the cabinet to the right.
  • Drag the latches down to open the cabinet, and take the jug.
  • Defocus, then leave and return to the water pump.
  • Focus on the water pump.
  • Place the jug down and click on the rod to pump blood into the jug. Take the jug with blood.
  • Defocus, and go back to the house.
  • Focus on Nicholas. Pour blood into his glass, and click on him to make him drink it. Take the leech.
  • Talk to him:
    Paradise has been suffering since your Mother died. She prayed for your return. Please help us son.
Fourth Leech
  • Defocus and return to the water pump.
  • Use the water pump again. Take the jug with blood.
  • Defocus, then return to the goat.
  • Focus on the goat.
  • Fill the bucket with blood. Click on the goat to make it drink.
  • Take the leech off its tongue.
  • Defocus, and go back to the house.
Black Cube
  • Focus on the wooden owl figure at the front of the house.
  • Put a leech into the owl. Drag the wings up to drain the blood and fill the meter.
  • Do this for the other three leeches.
  • Take the key.
  • Defocus, and focus on the locked gate to the right.
  • Use the key and open the gate.
  • Talk to the Corrupted Soul:
    Bring my memories to the lake...
    ...and the lake will stop bleeding.
  • Go forward, and focus on the pool of blood to the left.
  • Click on the blood, and a coffin will surface.
  • Focus on the coffin. Click on each nail to take them out, and remove the lid.
  • Click on the black cube and watch the memory:
    Please take our sacrifice and enlighten us!
  • Take the black cube.
  • Defocus, and go into the temple on the right.
  • Focus on the golden winged cube. Open it, place the black cube inside, and close it.
  • Focus on the painting. Click on the cube, and the plague is over.


The Second Plague: Frogs[]

First Frog
  • Focus on David. A frog comes out of his mouth, but it goes down his pants and cannot be caught.
  • Defocus.
  • Focus on the frog to the right. You must lead the frog to the rock.
    • The frog has to land on each lily pad before the rock.
    • The frog can only jump on the lily pads and rocks when they are lit up.
    • The frog can only jump in four directions: N, S, E, W
  • Take the frog.
  • Defocus, and go forward twice.
Second Frog
  • Focus on Gerard. Click on him until he swallows the key. He then wants soup.
  • Defocus, and go forward.
  • Focus on Elizabeth; she wants her frog flute. Talk to her:
    Good to feel your presence again, brother.
  • Defocus, and focus on the tub.
    • Click on the frog's eggs by matching identical pairs.
  • Take the frog.
  • Defocus, and go forward.
Third and Fourth Frogs
  • Go into the house. Focus on Margaret: she wants four frogs.
  • Defocus.
  • Focus on the table. Pick up the candle and bowl.
  • Defocus twice to exit the house, and go forward twice through the gate.
  • Take the wood.
  • Enter the temple. Focus on the table to the left, and pick up the belt.
  • Defocus, and focus on the cabinet to the right.
  • Line up the symbols to unlock it, and take the frog flute.
  • Defocus and return to Elizabeth.
  • Give her the frog flute. Copy the frog's notes by playing the flute with her right and left hands. One hand is above the other.
    • Upper, Upper.
    • Lower, Lower.
    • Upper, Upper, Lower, Upper.
    • Lower, Upper, Lower, Upper, Lower, Lower.
    • Upper, Lower, Upper, Lower, Upper, Upper, Lower.
  • Take the frog.
  • Defocus, and go back to David.
  • Give him the belt. Click on his mouth, the frog will come out and fall to the ground.
  • Defocus, and take the frog.
  • Focus on David. Talk to him:
    You took my favorite plague.
  • Defocus, and return to the house.
Black Cube
  • Focus on Margaret. Drop the four frogs into the cauldron.
  • Place the wood under the cauldron, and light it with the candle.
  • Click on the cauldron, it starts bubbling. Use the bowl and collect the frog soup.
  • Talk to her:
    Your mother used to sing you lullabies.
  • Defocus, and go back to Gerard.
  • Give him the frog soup. He wants the bowl.
  • Give him back the bowl, he vomits into it. Click on the bowl and retrieve the key.
  • Defocus and return to the house.
  • Use the key on the locked chest.
  • Click on the black cube and watch the memory:
    Jakob Jakob, my first born...
  • Take the black cube.
  • Defocus, and go through the gate to the temple.
  • Focus on the golden winged cube. Open it, place the black cube inside, and close it.
  • Focus on the painting. Click on the cube, and the plague is over.


The Third Plague: Gnats & Lice[]

First and Second Flytrap Bait
  • Focus on the rock to the left. Take the flyswatter.
  • Defocus, and go forward past the house through the gate.
  • Focus on Margaret. Talk to her:
    They are everywhere.
  • Give her the flyswatter to swat the gnats swarming her face. Take the gnats.
  • Defocus, and focus on the log to the right.
  • Take the axe and snail.
  • Defocus and enter the temple.
Third Flytrap Bait
  • Focus on the table to the right. Take the scissors.
  • Defocus, and return to the house.
  • Focus on Elizabeth. Talk to her:
    Lice are not welcome here.
  • Give her the scissors. Click on her to cut Gerard's hair, and do not stop until she cuts off his ear.
  • Take the ear.
  • Focus on Gerard's head. Notice the symbols on his scalp; you need to dig between the two rocks at the front gate.
  • Defocus, and take the shovel.
  • Defocus twice.
Fourth Flytrap Bait
  • Focus on the beehive. Click on the bees in the order they fly out of the hive.
    • 6, 2, 5, 1, 3, 7, 4
  • Take the honey.
  • Defocus, and focus on the pile of clay to the right.
  • Use the shovel to dig it up, and take the two pieces of clay.
  • Defocus, and return to the front gate.
  • Focus on the rock to the right.
  • Use the shovel to open the mussel, then take the mussel.
Flower Bulbs
  • Focus on the marked spot between the two rocks. Use the shovel to dig up a small box.
  • Unlock it by placing the three special tiles over the hidden eyes.
    • Upper right, bottom middle, and to the left.
  • Take the flower bulb.
  • Defocus out, and go forward twice.
  • Focus on the venus flytrap. Give it the gnats, snail, ear, and mussel.
  • Take the flower.
  • Defocus.
  • Focus on the X-marked tree. Use the axe to chop it down, and reveal a secret path.
  • Go forward twice.
  • Focus on David. Talk to him:
    My blood sugar level is very low today.
  • Defocus, and focus on the X-marked tree to the left.
  • Use the axe on the X, and take the jug of birch sap.
  • Defocus.
  • Focus on the berries to the right. Take the berries.
  • Defocus, and refocus on David.
  • Fill his cup with birch sap, put the berries in his bowl, and use the honey on the bread.
  • Wait for him to be covered in gnats.
  • Focus on the pile of gnats. Click on them to make the gnats fly away, revealing a giant maggot. Take the flower bulb spat out by the maggot.
  • Defocus, and focus on the memorial to the right. Notice the two missing vases.
Black Cube
  • Return to the house. Focus on the pottery wheel.
  • Place the pieces of clay on the wheel. Make the two pots shown on the right, then take the vases.
  • Defocus.
  • Focus on the table in the middle. Open the lid, and place the flower bulbs on the pot. Close the lid and click on the seed. Pick up both flowers.
  • Defocus, leave the house and return to the small memorial.
  • Place both vases down on the empty pillars. Put the flowers in the vases, and gnats will fly onto the portrait.
  • Focus on the portrait. Click to have the gnats fly over the eyes.
  • Click on the black cube and watch the memory. Click on the rose to have the petals disperse.
  • Take the black cube.
  • Defocus, and go through the gate back to the temple.
  • Focus on the golden winged cube. Open it, place the black cube inside and close it.
  • Focus on the painting. Click on the cube, and the plague is over.


The Fourth Plague: Flies[]

Rabbit Heart
  • Go forward four times (choosing the left-hand path), and focus on the giant cocoon. Click on it, allowing it to open and let out David, who is now a mosquito.
  • Defocus, and go to the house.
  • Pick up the wood.
  • Enter the house. Take the candle.
  • Focus on the crate. Open it by aligning the symbols with the slider.
  • Take the shovel.
  • Talk to Elizabeth:
    Fear didn't make me blind.
  • Defocus, and focus on the cauldron.
  • Place the wood under the cauldron and light it with the candle.
  • Click on the lid. Margaret appears and hands you a carrot.
  • Talk to her:
    Go find your brother.
  • Defocus three times, and focus on the hole.
  • Click on it: a rabbit pops its head out.
  • Put the carrot down, and the rabbit leaves the hole. David comes and rips the heart out from the rabbit. Take the rabbit heart.
  • Defocus. David flies away.
Crab Meat
  • Go forward past the house.
  • Go into the temple. Take the twig.
  • Click on the right-hand window. Talk to the Corrupted Soul:
    Don't let them use my memories
  • Defocus.
  • Focus on the hole to the right. Remove the wooden planks and take the worm.
  • Defocus, and focus on the hermit crab to the left.
  • Use the shells to guide the hermit crab to the X, by avoiding the sea urchins. The tip of the shell is the direction the hermit crab will take. (Note: You do have to use all of the shells.)
    • Up, Right, Down.
    • Right, Up, Right, Down, Left, Left.
    • Down, Left, Up, Left, Up.
    • Up, Right, Down, Left, Up, Right, Down, Left.
  • David comes and rips some meat off of the crab. Take the crab meat.
  • Defocus. David flies away.
Bird Heart
  • Return to the front gate.
  • Focus on the sand piper. Click on the bird to move it to the right.
  • Use the twig to prop up the rock. Place the worm under the rock.
  • Click on the sand piper. Click again when it is under the rock to crush it.
  • David comes and rips the heart from the sand piper. Take the bird heart.
  • Defocus. David flies away.
Black Cube
  • Go forward four times. Focus on the wooden owl figure.
  • Put the rabbit heart, crab meat, and bird heart into the owl. Drag the wings up to drain the blood and fill the meter.
  • Take the diamond.
  • Defocus.
  • Focus on the closed door to the right.
  • Put the diamond into the slot. Walk up the stairs.
  • Focus on Nicholas, who has the black cube. Talk to him:
    I need her memories, I need to.. find..
  • Defocus, and focus on the window. You need to align the symbols to Roman numerals by using the book on the table. The solutions are hidden on certain pages of the book.
    • S = 1 (I)
    • Triangle = 3 (III)
    • Circle = 8 (VIII)
    • Triangle with Line = 10 (X)
  • Unlock the window. David comes and sticks his proboscis into Nicholas' head.
  • Click on the black cube and watch the memory:
    One day you will learn the true nature of sacrifice.
  • Take the black cube.
  • Defocus, and go through the gate to the temple.
  • Focus on the golden winged cube. Open it, place the black cube inside and close it.
  • Focus on the painting. Click on the cube, and the plague is over.


The Fifth Plague: Diseased Livestock[]

Goat Bacon
  • Focus on the pot to the left. Take the lettuce.
  • Defocus, and go forwards to the house.
  • Take the bucket on the left. Go into the house.
  • Focus on the table to the right. Take the knife.
  • Unfold the paper. These are the ingredients for the Rusty Lake Burger.
    • Lettuce, burger, cheese, bacon, ketchup, and cucumber.
  • Defocus and leave the house. Focus on the goat's spots.
    • Connect the dots by drawing lines between them, but the lines cannot intersect. Each dot needs to have more lines depending on the number inside them, i.e. 2 or 3.
  • The dots will disappear and an X will appear.
  • Use the knife to cut into the goat's flesh. Take the goat bacon.
  • Defocus, and return to the front gate.
Raw Beef and Cheese
  • Focus on the cow's spots.
    • You can start on a dot of any colour, but the next dot has to be either on a spot of the same shape or of the same colour as the previous one. When all the dots have been clicked in the right order, they will disappear and an X will appear.
      • Start with yellow with no surrounding shape: yellow, orange, orange, pink, pink, grey, grey, purple, purple, brown, ending with brown on the outside.
  • Use the knife to cut into the cow's flesh. Take the raw beef.
  • Defocus. Put the bucket under the cow's udders.
  • Click on the udders to milk the cow. Take the bucket with milk.
  • Defocus, and go forwards twice.
  • Focus on the dairy churn. Place the milk into the churn, and put the lid back on.
  • Remove the lid again, and put the cheese wheel on the ground. Use the knife to cut off a slice of cheese.
  • Defocus, and go forwards twice.
Vegetables
  • Go up the stairs. Focus on Gerard. Talk to him:
    I want my burger!
  • Defocus, and go back down the stairs.
  • Focus on the vegetable patch. Move the vegetables to cover the right spots.
    • The numbers on the sides of the patch are how many of the dots need to be covered by vegetables in that line or column. There can be no more or less dots covered.
  • Take the tomato and cucumber.
  • Defocus, and go back to the house.
Rusty Lake Burger
  • Focus on Margaret. Talk to her:
    My son is always hungry.
    • Give her the tomato. Click on the butcher knife to chop it into ketchup.
    • Give her the cucumber. Click on the butcher knife to chop it into cucumber slices.
    • Give her the goat bacon. Click on the butcher knife to chop it into bacon slices.
    • Give her the raw beef. Click on the butcher knife to chop it into minced beef.
  • Defocus.
  • Focus on the frying pan over the fire.
    • Put the bacon slices on the pan. Click on the pan until you can take the crispy bacon.
    • Put the minced beef on the pan. Click on the pan until you can take the burger.
  • Defocus. Return to Gerard.
  • Focus on the plate. Place the ingredients in the correct order.
    • Lettuce, burger, cheese, crispy bacon, ketchup, and cucumber slices.
  • Defocus.
Black Cube
  • Click on Gerard to make him pick up the burger. He will take a bite and then leave the room.
  • Focus on Nicholas. Use the knife to remove his bandages, and take the wrap.
  • Talk to him:
    I've still got a headache.
  • Defocus, and go down the stairs.
  • Focus on the outhouse. Open the door, and give Gerard the wrap.
  • Close and reopen the door. Focus on the hole. Click on the faeces to reveal the black cube.
  • Go into the dark hole until you reach Caroline. Go back out of the hole.
  • Take the black cube.
  • Defocus three times, and go through the gate to the temple.
  • Focus on the golden winged cube. Open it, place the black cube inside and close it.
  • Focus on the painting. Click on the cube, and the plague is over.


The Sixth Plague: Boils[]

Entrance
  • Focus on the grass to the right. Take the grass.
  • Defocus.
  • Focus on the cow skull to the left. Take the empty bottle.
  • Give the grass to the skull. It eats the grass, and blood pours from its eye. Use the bottle and collect the blood.
  • Defocus, and focus on the entrance. Open the two hatches.
  • Click on the left opening to see a plague doctor. He wants the bottle of blood.
  • Put the blood into his hand in the right opening, and he will open the gate.
Bottles and Ingredients
  • Go forward twice, and to the right.
  • Go forward twice through the gate by the house.
  • Focus on the onion. Take the onion.
  • Enter the temple. Pick up the plague staff.
  • Focus on the well.
  • Click on the outline of the key so it comes to the surface. Take the key.
  • Defocus, and go backward four times then forwards twice up the stairs.
  • Focus on the locked cabinet.
  • Use the key to open it, and take the three empty bottles.
  • Defocus, and focus on the desk.
  • Open the left compartment and pick up the pepper.
  • Open the right compartment and pick up the knife.
  • Defocus, and focus on the table.
  • Take the two matches and the needle and thread.
  • Unfold the paper. It explains that the key is in the well.
  • Defocus, and go back down the stairs.
  • Go back twice, and forward down the other fork.
  • Focus on the log. Use the knife to take the mushroom.
  • Return to the house. Focus on Margaret.
    • Give her the mushroom. Click on her to make her smell it, and use a bottle to collect the saliva.
    • Give her the onion. Click on her to make her smell it, and use a bottle to collect the tears.
    • Give her the pepper. Click on her to make her smell it, and use a bottle to collect the snot.
  • Talk to her:
    The smell of death is in the air.
  • Defocus, and focus on the table.
  • Unfold the paper. It explains the solution for making the cure for Gerard, and for the time to set the clock.
  • Defocus, and go back to the staircase.
Cure
  • Focus on the plague doctor. Give him the plague staff, he will move the staff depending on what bottle he is given.
    • Blood - North.
    • Saliva - North-East.
    • Snot - North-West.
    • Tears - West.
  • Take back the bottles. Defocus, and go back to the house.
  • Focus on the table. Look back at the paper on the table. The positions for the cure were given by the plague doctor. Put the ingredients in the correct order.
    • Snot, Tears, Saliva, Snot, Tears, and Blood.
  • Take the medicine.
  • Defocus, and focus on Gerard. Look at his chest.
    • Pop the boils according to what direction the blotches of colour besides each boil is pointing.
  • The boils disappear, leaving an X-marked spot.
  • Use the knife to cut open his chest. Take the heart.
Clock
  • Defocus, and focus on his face. Click on his eyes, he cannot keep them open.
  • Use the two matches to prop his eyes open.
  • Click on his mouth, he sticks out his tongue. Use the medicine on his tongue.
  • Focus on his teeth. Align the teeth on the top to the ones on the bottom, so his bite is straight.
  • Note the symbols on his teeth, and which teeth they land on.
    • Two Dots - Eight.
    • X - Five.
  • Defocus, and go backward four times then forwards twice up the stairs.
  • Focus on the clock face. Move the hands to the corresponding numbers from Gerard's teeth.
    • Hour Hand - V
    • Minute Hand - VIII
  • Open the clock face. Take the clockwork.
  • Replace it with the heart, and close the clock face.
  • Defocus. Notice the clock body is now open. There is a locked box inside, but you need a combination.
Black Cube
  • Return to the house.
  • Focus on Gerard's chest.
  • Put the clockwork into the empty cavity. Use the needle and thread to suture the wound.
  • Defocus, and focus on Gerard's face. Talk to him:
    BOAR
  • Defocus, and go backward four times then forwards twice up the stairs.
  • Focus on the locked box in the clock body.
    • Move the letters to spell "BOAR".
  • Open the box. Click on the black cube and watch the memory:
    Paradise would not exist without great sacrifices.
  • Take the black cube.
  • Defocus, and go through the gate to the temple.
  • Focus on the golden winged cube. Open it, place the black cube inside and close it.
  • Focus on the painting. Click on the cube, and the plague is over.


The Seventh Plague: Hail[]

Cracking The Ice
  • Focus on Elizabeth to the right.
  • Move the two rocks on the ice in Elizabeth's path so they crack the wooden poles. The yellow rock cracks right, and the grey rock cracks left.
    • Place the grey and yellow rocks together at the bottom middle for the lower poles.
    • Place the grey rock at the upper left, and the yellow rock at the upper right for the higher poles.
  • Defocus and focus over to the cracked ice on the left.
  • Click on the cracked ice. It sinks down and reveals David trapped in an iceberg.
  • Defocus.
Snow Globe
  • Go forwards twice. Take the scarf hanging on the tree.
  • Go forwards (to the left) twice again.
  • Focus on the ice blocks on the ground.
    • Move the blocks to cover the holes by sliding them over. The blocks can slide over blocks already in holes.
  • Crack open the remaining ice block and pick up the diamond.
  • Defocus, and go up the stairs.
  • Focus on the pedestal. Place the diamond into the slot. Take the powerful snow globe. The snow globe allows you to rain hail down onto objects.
  • Defocus, and focus on the table.
  • Open the lid and take the strawberries.
  • Defocus, and focus on the diagram on the wall. You need three diamonds to power the snow globe in order to destroy the temple and find the black cube. There is also a drawing of everything you need to complete the snowman in front of the staircase.
  • Defocus, and focus on the window.
  • Use the powerful snow globe on the funnel, and take the pointy wood from the hole.
  • Defocus twice.
Vases
  • Use the snow globe on the small tree, and take the twig.
  • Go backwards twice.
  • Use the snow globe on the silver vase to break it open. Pick up the small rocks.
  • Go back to the front gate.
  • Use the snow globe on the brown vase. Pick up the carrot.
  • Go forwards twice and to the right.
  • Focus on the squirrel.
  • Click on the squirrel to move it to the utmost left.
  • Defocus, and focus on the icicle on the tree. Click on the longest icicle to break it off, causing it to fall on the squirrel and kill it.
  • Defocus, and focus on the squirrel.
  • Take the pistachio and squirrel fur.
  • Go forward to the house.
  • Use the snowglobe on the beige vase. Pick up the two buttons.
Ice Creams
  • Defocus, then focus on the goat skull. Take the two horns.
  • Defocus, and enter the house.
  • Focus on Gerard. He wants ice cream. If you try to take his hat, he refuses.
  • Defocus, and focus on the table.
    • Put the strawberries into the bowl. Crack the icicle and drop it in the bowl. Shake the bowl, and roll the ball out. Place a horn on the stand, and click the ball to move it on the horn, and take the strawberry ice cream.
    • Put the pistachios into the bowl. Crack the icicle and drop it in the bowl. Shake the bowl, and roll the ball out. Place a horn on the stand, and click the ball to move it on the horn, and take the pistachio ice cream.
  • Defocus. Focus on Gerard. Give him the strawberry and pistachio ice cream.
  • Take his hat.
  • Defocus twice, and go forward past the gate.
Freeing David
  • Enter the temple. Take the twig.
  • Focus on the well. Pick up the hammer.
  • Defocus, and go back to the front gate.
  • Focus on David. Stick the pointy wood into the crack and break it with the hammer. Continue this process until David's upper half is free.
  • Focus on David. He is holding onto a key.
  • Give him the squirrel fur to warm him, and take the key.
  • Talk to him:
    It is pretty cold in Paradise.
  • Defocus, and go forwards four times.
Snowman
  • Focus on the snowman. Give him the following items:
    • Scarf, Hat, Two Buttons, Carrot, Small Rocks, and both Twigs.
  • Follow the direction of the snowman's carrot and click on the correct twig.
  • Click on the twigs to turn them into hands. Use the hands to remove all of the small rocks by moving them either left or right.
  • Margaret pops out from the snowman's head. Talk to her:
    Let it snow...
  • Use the snow globe on Margaret, and pick up the diamond.
  • Defocus, and go up the stairs.
Black Cube
  • Focus on the pedestal. Put the snow globe back, and put the last diamond in the slot. Take the mighty snow globe.
  • Defocus, and go back to the temple past the house.
  • Use the snow globe on the temple's roof until it is almost entirely destroyed.
  • Enter the temple, and use the key on the small red box.
  • Click on the black cube and watch the memory:
    You are ready to meet your destiny.
    Don't! Take me instead.
  • Take the black cube.
  • Focus on the golden winged cube. Open it, place the black cube inside and close it.
  • Focus on the painting. Click on the cube, and the plague is over.


The Eighth Plague: Locusts[]

Entrance
  • Focus on Gerard, David, and Nicholas. Click on David to start the song. You must finish the song by following the clues on who sings next.
    • David, Nicholas, Gerard, Nicholas, David, Nicholas, David, Gerard, Nicholas, Gerard, David, Gerard, and David.
  • When the song is finished, they will play the combination for the locked box on the right.
    • Gerard (I) - Dash, Dot, Dash, Dot.
    • David (II) - Dash, Dash, Dot, Dot.
    • Nicholas (III) - Dot, Dot, Dash, Dot.
  • Defocus, and focus on the box to the right.
  • Use the combination to open it and take the axe.
  • Defocus, and focus on the front gate.
  • Use the axe to break down the boards.
  • Go forward twice.
Goat Eyes
  • Click on the big locust. It plays a tune, which you need to copy with the small locusts on the trees.
    • Lower-left.
    • Middle, lower-left, upper-right, upper-left, upper-left.
    • Lower-left, upper-left, upper-right, lower-left, middle.
  • The big locust lays an egg. Click on the locust to move it away.
  • Click on the egg until the giant praying mantis hatches. Click it to move it off-screen.
  • Go forward to the right.
  • Click on the goat to make it bleat. Continue as the mantis closes in, and kills the goat.
  • Pick up the goat eyes on the left of the carcass.
  • Go forward. Notice the three fireflies.
  • Enter the house. Take the shovel.
Elizabeth
  • Focus on Elizabeth. Talk to her:
    Eyes blinded by the fog cannot see the truth.
  • Give her the goat eyes.
  • Focus on the right eye. The three fireflies from outside are in the eye. You need to go outside the house and move the fireflies into the correlating circles in the eye.
    • Left Firefly - Move it north-west. It is the right firefly in the eye.
    • Middle Firefly - Move it north-west.
    • Right Firefly - Move it north. It is the left firefly in the eye.
  • Take the firefly.
  • Enter the house. Focus on Elizabeth.
  • Focus on the left eye. Notice the goat carcass, and an X-marked spot on the ground to the left. You need to dig to the right of the goat.
  • Defocus four times.
  • Use the shovel to the right of the footpath, and dig up a locked box.
Owl
  • Go back, and forwards to the left.
  • There is an owl that you need to follow. Click on the owl.
  • Go backwards. Click on the owl.
  • Go forwards to the house. Click on the owl on the roof.
  • Go backwards. Click on the owl to the right of the mantis.
  • Go back to where you first saw the owl.
  • Focus on the owl. Feed it the firefly.
  • Defocus. Click on the owl to make it hoot. Continue as the mantis comes closer and knocks the branch down.
  • Click on the owl nest until a key falls down. Take the key.
  • Go back twice, and up to the right.
  • Focus on the box. Use the key to open it, and take the mist horn.
  • Defocus.
Black Cube
  • Go forward to the left and then right, past the house.
  • There is a Corrupted Soul. Talk to it:
    My memories are the key to your future.
  • Go forward twice, and focus on the boat.
  • Margaret wants the mist horn. Give it to her and click to blow the horn. Continue until the mantis walks over the boat and takes her away.
  • Focus on the boat.
  • Click on the black cube and watch the memory:
    You have to leave.
  • Take the black cube.
  • Defocus, then enter the temple.
  • Focus on the golden winged cube. Open it, place the black cube inside and close it.
  • Focus on the painting. Click on the cube, and the plague is over.


The Ninth Plague: Darkness[]

Bronze Key
  • Go forward four times. The family is standing around the bonfire. They each provide a clue to the first zodiac clock compartment with a number of dots on their clothes, and a performance of one of the zodiac signs.
    • Gerard (1) - Archer
    • David (2) - Fish
    • Elizabeth (3) - Scale
    • Margaret (4) - Lion
    • Nicholas (5) - Bull
  • Talk to Nicholas:
    Son be prepared. The glorious day of the lake is coming.
  • Go up the stairs. Focus on the zodiac clock. Use the clues given by the family.
    • I - ♐, II - ♓, III - ♎, IV - ♌, V - ♉
  • Take the bronze key.
  • Defocus.
Silver Key
  • Focus on the table. Use the handles to match the diagram of the moon shown on the dial. The dial will turn completely red.
  • Defocus, and focus on the moon.
  • Click on the rip to make blood drip down. Click on the droplet so it falls to the ground.
  • Defocus. Go back twice.
  • Focus on the tree to the right with the woodpecker. Move the woodpecker and make it peck at the branches. Peck in numerical order, from 1 to 4.
  • Take the bark.
  • Defocus.
  • Go back, then up to the right.
  • The blood from the moon falls. Take the red moon stone.
  • Go forward and enter the house. Pick up the pickaxe.
  • Got back, and then forward past the gate.
  • Focus on the owl. It will not move off the crate. Take the shell.
  • Defocus, and enter the temple.
  • Use the pickaxe on the rock to the right. Take the blue rock.
  • Focus on the well. Take the moss.
  • Defocus.
  • Return to the house. Focus on the grinder.
  • Use the bark, red moon stone, shell, blue rock, and moss on the grinder. Turn the handle and take the brown powder, red powder, white powder, blue powder, and green powder.
  • Notice the diagram on the grinder. It details what each number on the zodiac clock correlates to what powder.
    • I - (Green), II - (Blue), III - (Red), IV - (Brown), V - (White)
  • Defocus, and return to the family gathering.
  • Focus on the bonfire. Use each powder on the fire to reveal their zodiac signs.
    • Green - (Bull), Blue - (Twins), Red - (Scorpion), Brown - (Ram), White - (Scales)
  • Defocus. Go up the stairs.
  • Focus on the zodiac clock. Use the clues from the powders.
    • I - ♉ (green), II - ♊, III - ♏, IV - ♈, V - ♎
  • Take the silver key.
  • Defocus.
Copper Key
  • Focus on the locked crank. Use the bronze and silver keys on the locks, then turn the crank.
  • Go up the ladder. There is a shadow puzzle involving the zodiac signs and animal statues.
  • Go backwards twice.
  • Focus on the family again. They display a different animal.
    • Gerard (1) - Elephant
    • David (2) - Eagle
    • Elizabeth (3) - Owl
    • Margaret (4) - Duck
    • Nicholas (5) - Deer
  • Go forward twice. Move the candle to the animal chalk outlines on the wall, and note the zodiac sign under the candle.

  • Defocus, and go back down the ladder.
  • Focus on the zodiac clock. Use the clues from the animal statues.
    • I - ♎, II - ♓, III - ♋, IV - ♐, V - ♑
  • Take the copper key.
  • Defocus.
Golden Key
  • Go up the ladder. Focus on the telescope.
  • Use the knobs the move the stars to complete the constellation. The white-west knob moves up and down, the white-east knob pulls closer and farther apart, and the gold knob moves left and right.
  • Look at the five constellations. Each has a set of stars beside it to correlate a number.
  • Defocus, and go down the ladder.
  • Focus on the zodiac clock. Use the clues from the stars.
    • I - ♊, II - ♐, III - ♉, IV - ♌, V - ♏
  • Take the golden key.
  • Defocus.
Black Cube
  • Go up the ladder. Focus on the locked door.
  • Use the copper and golden keys to unlock it, and go up the stairs.
  • Focus on the window. There is a wicker owl floating in the water.
  • Defocus. Use the torch lights to guide the wicker owl past the waves to shore.
    • x2 left, x1 middle, x3 right, x1 middle, x2 left, x1 middle, x4 left, x1 middle, 3x right, 1x middle
  • Defocus. Head back towards the temple past the house.
  • The wicker owl is at the shore.
  • Focus on the crate. Open it and pick up your mother's bones.
  • Defocus twice, and enter the house.
  • Focus on the grinder. Use the bones on the grinder. Turn the handle and take the magical powder.
  • Defocus. Go back to the family gathering.
  • Focus on the bonfire. Use the magical powder on the fire.
  • Click on the black cube and watch the memory. Click on your mother on the stake.
  • Take the black cube.
  • Go to the temple.
  • Focus on the golden winged cube. Open it, place the black cube inside and close it.
  • Focus on the painting. Click on the cube, and the plague is over.


The Tenth Plague: Death of the Firstborn[]

The Arrow
  • Focus on the first (blood) and second (frogs) torches. Drag the wings up to light them.
  • Defocus, and go forward twice.
  • Focus on the owl. Take a feather.
  • Defocus, and focus on the third (flies) torch. Drag the wings up.
  • Defocus. Go forward twice. Notice that Gerard is holding a bow, but has no arrow.
  • Focus on the fourth (darkness) torch. Drag the wings up.
  • Defocus, and go up the stairs.
  • Focus on the table. Take the apple and brush.
  • Defocus. Go up the ladder.
  • Notice the diagram on the wall, and take the rope.
  • Focus on the fifth (locusts) torch. Drag the wings up.
  • Defocus and go up the stairs.
  • Focus on Nicholas. Talk to him:
    Tonight the lake will show her true self to us, be ready.
  • Use the drumsticks on the drum to make all of the bones shake. Click on the left or right arm depending on the more bones shaking on either side. Click his chest if there is an equal number shaking on each side.
  • Take the pointy bone.
  • Defocus three times. Focus on the table.
  • Put the feather and pointy bone on the stick, and take the arrow.
  • Defocus twice. Focus on Gerard and give him the arrow. Move the bow up three times, then click his hand to launch it.
  • Defocus, and focus on David. Pick up the arrow, and place the apple on his head.
  • Talk to him:
    I hope I am not the one that dies tonight.
  • Defocus, and refocus on Gerard. Give him the arrow again. Move the bow three times and launch the arrow.
  • Defocus. Focus on David. Click on the apple so it falls, and take the worm.
  • Defocus twice, and go up to the right.
Feeding The Owl
  • Focus on Elizabeth. Use the brush and the colours on her hand to paint her face, according to the diagram shown before.
    • Green, white, red, white, green.
  • Take the candle.
  • Talk to her:
    Everyone's true color will show eventually
  • Defocus, and focus on the chicken.
  • Put the worm in the dish, and click the chicken twice to make it eat the worm and lay an egg. Take the egg.
  • Defocus. Focus on the sixth (livestock) torch. Drag the wings up.
  • Defocus, and go forward.
  • Focus on the seventh (lice) torch. Drag the wings up.
  • Defocus and enter the house.
  • Focus on Margaret. Talk to her:
    We celebrate the day of the lake tonight, be ready.
  • Defocus, and focus on the frying pan. Use the candle on the wood to light it. Put the egg on the pan, and click on the yolk until a chick pops out.
  • Click on it as it runs around the pan. Take the chick.
  • Defocus four times.
  • Focus on the owl. Give it the chick to eat, and it spits the bones on the ground.
  • Defocus, and focus on the bones. Move them around to spell "O-W-L-S".
  • Defocus.
The Well
  • Go back to the house, and go forward to the right.
  • Focus on the eighth (boils) and ninth (hail) torches. Drag the wings up to light them.
  • Defocus twice. Enter the house.
  • Focus on the diagram on the wall. You need to measure the distance of the symbols to reveal the numbers for the well.
  • Focus on the map on the table. Move the symbols over the correlating torch's locations. Use the ruler to measure the distances between the necessary symbols.
    • Blood and Frogs - 4
    • Lice and Locusts - 5
    • Darkness and Hail - 10
  • Defocus twice, and go up to the right. Enter the wicker owl.
  • Focus on the well. Use the combination to drain the water.
    • O - IV
    • W - V
    • L - X
  • Use the rope on the hook. Go down the well.
  • Focus on the stone. Move the letters to spell "OWLS". Click the stone to open it.
  • Go forward. Solve the puzzles on each statue to enter into the next room.
    • Rabbit - Alternate clicking the left and right buttons. Take the rabbit mask.
    • Pheasant - Click the buttons in numerical order: 1 to 9. Take the pheasant mask.
    • Deer - Right, left, right, x2 left, x5 right. Take the deer mask.
    • Pigeon - x4 right, x3 left, x3 right, x3 left, x1 right, x2 left. Take the pigeon mask.

  • Talk to the Corrupted Soul again:
    Turn around and descend into the great depths of the lake.
  • Go back twice. If you click on the rope it is dragged back up.
  • Click on the glowing ground to descend into the lake, and surface back at the island.
  • Focus on David. Talk to him:
    It's Time.
  • Give him the rabbit mask. He lets you pass.
  • Go forward. Give Elizabeth the pheasant mask.
  • Go forward twice. Give Margaret the pigeon mask.
  • Go forward. Give Gerard the boar mask.
  • Go forward. Talk to Nicholas:
    You are ready to meet your destiny.
  • Give him the deer mask. Go forward and enter the wicker owl.
  • Focus on the golden winged cube. Open it, place the black cube inside, and close it.
  • Click on your family. They lower their torches and set the owl on fire.
